ICS Pre-departure training II

It was another sunny day gifted by God. On the 1st of May, the ICV’s (In country volunteers) reported to our training center again to wait for our fellow counterparts from the United Kingdom which they are known as UKV’s. Around 6 pm almost all the ICV’s were I’m expect few who lived very far from the training center. We had our dinner, took some pictures then waited for the rest of the family.
Our country director for Lattitute informed us that our team leaders have gone to the airport to pick up the other mates so we had to wait for them. During that time we did a rehearsal of our song and poem to welcome them officially the next day. After the said rehearsals I was very happy to host my old good friend, Judith Kyei Afriyie. We had a lengthy talk about life, education and other social issues.

It was long when the bus with our UKV’s arrived so I had to look for my roommates and help them with their luggage into the room and help them to get ready for their dinner since it was a long journey here. The 1st statement Ahmad made was “Man your country is hot.”😂😂I smiled at him and told welcome man. The night was so long as we talked about ourselves and the journey. Frankly Ahmad sweated all night in the air-condition.
The next day, 2nd of May was the fun day which I will say. It began with us welcoming our UKV’s which an ‘Akwaaba song from Alabaster Box’ and a poem to round it up. Our mates were impressed and showed us love by doing the theme song of fresh prince (Will Smith).

It was the time we had to know ourselves and our country. On this day we had our city tour. After breakfast we got ready for the tour which lasted for approximately 4 hours. Below are some of the pics.
